How to extend your life using the sales profession?

Do you want to extend your life using the sales profession? 

Well, it kind of sounds weird. However, really it’s about being on purpose, being on purpose, and doing something that you enjoy doing. And that’s how you simply extend your life. 

Let me share with you four things you can do if you really want to extend your life using the sales profession. So being on purpose is really to me it’s about loving four things. 

You definitely must love to help people. So if you are in the sales profession and you don’t love to help people. I don’t mean “like”, I mean “love” to help people, then it’s definitely not helping you. 

Zig Ziglar said once in his seminars, something to the extent where: “In order for me to get what I want, I must help enough people to get what they want first”. 

So if you really love to help people, then that exactly is what’s gonna happen, help them first, and then that’s how you end up helping yourself. 

Second thing is you have to love, I guess excited about your product or service. 

Now imagine I sold knives a Cutco Cutlery with vector marketing back in North America for a 15 year period of time. 

And the exciting thing is I didn’t know about the night before, but when I saw the product, I really fell in love with it. And that made it a lot easier to actually love to help people and show them a great product. 

So, whatever product or service that you are selling, you definitely have to be super excited about. 

Third thing is you have to love challenges. 

See, life isn’t about doing what’s easiest. It’s about overcoming obstacles and that’s how they say; A kite rises against the wind, not with the wind. 

So actually with friction, it helps, you know, It creates a certain excitement and it gives purpose for what, what you are doing.  And that’s what selling will do. 

And then last but not least is you definitely have to have a love for personal development. 

Every single obstacle that I faced in my sales career became a source for positive dissatisfaction. Meaning I knew I could do better, but I wasn’t.  

And that’s when I decided to find the tools, the knowledge, and skills and build the habits and competency so that I can achieve the results that I wanted to achieve. 

I am where I am today is because of that. 

So just imagine if you, if your purpose in life is to help others; is to really grow yourself in the process, then definitely the sales profession is the right profession for you.
